The Kawasaki Z Owners Club Inc was estbalished in 1992, and now boasts over 100 members. The club has just celebrated it's 20th Anniversary, in conjuction with the 40th Anniversary of the world wide release of the Z1-900, by hosting a fantastic rally in Riddles Creek, Vic.
Over the years the club has gathered and attracted a diverse range of members from many different backgrounds, and has always been a close and friendly club which opens its doors to all people owning Kawasaki Z type bikes. The club also offers a social membership to those enthusiasts owning other types of bikes.
..Our aims & objectives…
- To work with other motorcycling bodies;
- To promote the Kawasaki 'Z' series motorcycles;
- To promote and improve the public image of motorcyclists;
- To assist and be part of a National and International Kawasaki 'Z' Owners Club.
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 7pm at 'Highway 31' Bar Cafe, 743 Sydney Road, Brunswick. We also have a club ride on the Sunday following the Tuesday meeting every month.
We have a team of members representing our club in major historic motorcycle racing events, including superlights and Forgotten Era Period 5. They race at various events from the Hartwell MCC series, the Newport Braybrook MCC, the International Island Classic, the Australian Historic Titles, and the Southern Classic just to name a few.
The Z Owners attend many social & fundraising motorcycle events, and we support other social motorcycle clubs. We currently organise an annual Good Friday Ride Day to support the sick kids, with 2011 being our greatest success yet, raising over $14,000 for the cause.
